HOW TO USE:
- Mounting: Position the heater vertically. Use the supplied dual-purpose brackets to securely mount the unit to a wall or place it on the floor in the desired location within the hazardous area.
- Electrical Connection: Ensure the main power supply is turned off. Access the built-in terminal block (on multi-heat sink units) by removing the threaded covers of the x-Max® housing. Connect the 240V electrical supply wiring according to local electrical codes and the manufacturer’s wiring diagram.
- Secure Covers: Once wiring is complete, securely replace and tighten the threaded covers on the x-Max® housing to maintain the explosion-proof integrity of the unit.
- Power On: Restore power to the heater.
- Set Thermostat: Adjust the built-in thermostat to the desired temperature setting. The heater will then automatically maintain the set temperature by cycling on and off.
- Maintenance: Periodically inspect the heater for any damage or obstruction to the air intake/output vents. Ensure wire guards remain in place. Refer to the product manual for detailed maintenance procedures specific to hazardous location equipment.
