Description
Create cabinet doors on your router table with these matched sets of Stile and Rail cutters from Whiteside Machinery. Designed to work with stock from 5/8″ to 7/8″ thick, these router bits create an interlocking profile, while milling the groove to accept your panel. Ball bearings control the depth of cut and allow for use on curved and round top arched doors. One bit cuts the edge profile into the stiles and rails and the other bit mills the ends of the rails ( known as a cope cut) to make an interlocking fit that provides lots of gluing surface area for the joint thus creating a very sturdy door frame. Makes a 1/4″ groove width for accommodating the edge of your panel. Shank size is 1/2″.
About Whiteside
Whiteside Machine Company was founded in 1970 in Bill Whiteside’s basement where he supplied tooling to NC’s huge furniture making industry. Whiteside is still family-owned but has now grown to occupy a 40,000 square foot factory in Claremont, NC.
Whiteside offers a full range of router bits. Their rigid quality control and precision manufacturing techniques have repeatedly resulted in highest ratings in Fine Woodworking magazine tool reviews.
In the years that we’ve sold Whiteside router bits, we’ve experienced the company’s commitment to excellent quality and superb customer service. We think you’ll be pleased each time you use these fine tools in your shop.
