These industrial quality spiral bits combine effective chip removal with a continuous shearing action cut not obatained from our regular straight bits. The design allows for rapid chip removal and a chip breaker tip for plunging. Since the spiraled cutting edge always stays in contact with your stock, these bits will give you a smooth, chatter-free cut. Upcut spirals pull the chips toward the router. They are usually used for dadoing and mortising to obtain a smooth flat bottom. Ideal for mortise & tenon joints!
