Sorby 3/4″ Spindlemaster
The Spindlemaster is Sorby’s highly successful design for between-centers turning combining the versatility of a gouge, the fine finish of a skew and the ease of use of a shear scraper.The tool’s underside is rounded for smooth travel and well balanced cutting.The top surface is completely flat, with as much cutting edge as a skew or side-ground gouge, but with very little chance of catching in the work.A long gently rounded nose with very shallow bevel angle makes it easy to sharpen, and lets you use the Spindlemaster for cutting beads, coves & square shoulders as well as planing surfaces to a smooth surface.
