Cryogenic treatment
Right after initial hardening, cryogenic treatment cools the steel to very low temperatures using liquid nitrogen, down to −190 °C. This process ensures complete austenite transformation, resulting in chisels with increased hardness and toughness that stand up to demanding woodworking tasks and deliver long-lasting cutting performance.
