HOW TO USE:

• To Open: Hold the knife firmly with your dominant hand. Locate the flipper (the small protrusion on the spine of the blade near the pivot when closed). Apply light, quick pressure downwards on the flipper with your index finger. The SpeedSafe® assisted opening mechanism will engage, swiftly deploying the blade to its fully open and locked position.
• To Use: Once the blade is open, ensure the liner lock is fully engaged (a portion of the steel liner will be visible against the base of the blade). You can now safely use the knife for cutting tasks. Maintain a firm grip on the handle during use.
• To Close: With your non-dominant thumb, firmly push the liner lock (the metal bar inside the handle that rests against the blade’s tang) to the side, away from the blade. As you do this, gently push the blade back into the handle using your dominant hand or by carefully rocking your thumb against the spine of the blade. The SpeedSafe® mechanism will assist in bringing the blade back into the closed position.
• To Secure Closed: Once the blade is fully closed, locate the Tip-Lock slider (a small lever or button near the pivot on the handle). Slide this mechanism into the locked position. This will prevent the blade from accidentally deploying while in your pocket or bag.
