Permatex Anaerobic Flange Sealant 50 ml (51531) is a flexible, high-performance gasket material designed for use on rigid machined flanges with gaps less than .015 inches. This sealant cures in the absence of air, eliminating the need for preformed, pre-cut, paper, rubber, and cork gaskets.

Directions
- 1. Clean both flange surfaces. Remove paint, dirt, grease, or old gasket completely.
- 2. Spray Permatex Surface Prep® activator on one surface only. Allow to dry 1-2 minutes.
- 3. Apply a continuous bead of sealant to the unprimed surface.
- 4. Assemble mating surfaces with minimal lateral movement. Wipe away excess sealant with a cloth.
- 5. To dress a gasket: Apply sealant to both flange surfaces, cover both sides of the pre-cut gasket with sealant, and assemble mating surfaces.
