Mueller Push Mortise Axe

This is called a mortise axe, but it’s really a chisel for trimming very large joints – like timber frames. It’s designed to be pushed like a paring chisel rather than swung like an axe. You might use a mallet to drive it occasionally, but most of the time a firm shove is all that will be needed.
