HOW TO USE:
- Preparation: Ensure the vehicle or component needing repair is stable and securely positioned. Remove any obstructions that might interfere with the repair process.
- Select Components: Choose the appropriate hydraulic ram (4-ton for pushing/pressing, 1/2-ton spreader for spreading) and select the necessary extension tubes and attachments based on the specific repair task.
- Assemble the System: Connect the chosen ram to the 5’ hydraulic hose (8163), and then connect the hose to the 4-ton hydraulic hand pump (8162). Ensure all connections are secure.
- Position the Tools: Place the assembled ram and attachment against the vehicle panel or component that needs to be pushed, spread, or pressed. Ensure stable contact points for both the ram and the supporting surface.
- Operate the Pump: Use the handle of the hydraulic hand pump to slowly and steadily pump, applying pressure. Observe the panel’s movement carefully. The auto air bleed pump will manage air in the system automatically.
- Monitor Progress: Continuously check the alignment and shape of the panel as pressure is applied. Stop pumping as soon as the desired form or position is achieved. Avoid over-extending or over-pressing.
- Release Pressure: To release the pressure and retract the ram, locate the release valve on the hydraulic hand pump and slowly open it. Allow the ram to retract fully before disconnecting.
- Disassemble and Store: Once the repair is complete, disassemble the components, clean them, and return them to the included case for proper storage, ensuring they are ready for future use.
