Description
Manufactured with the professional cabinet maker in mind by the renowned Japanese woodworking tool company Bessho Jiro, this series of scrapers is designed to meet nearly any task suited for a scraper with precision and reliability. Made out of the same HRC 60 steel commonly used in high-end Japanese chef’s knives, they are capable of maintaining a keen edge longer than most other cabinet scrapers. Additionally, they are made in a substantial variety of profiles, allowing for their use even on awkwardly positioned, curved, or tightly enclosed work surfaces.
- Rectangle Scrapers are sized 40mm x 90mm (1.5” x 3.5”) or 40mm x 270mm (1.5” x 10.6”) and 1.2mm (0.05”) thick. They are meant for efficient surfacing of flat material.
- The
Oval Scraper is 30mm x 50mm (1.2” x 2”) and 0.8mm (0.03”) thick. It is meant for working on the inside of a range of small- to medium-radius curves. - The
Delta Radius Scraper has three concave arcs with radii of 15mm (0.6”), 20mm (0.8”), and 30mm (1.2”) and is 0.8mm (0.03”) thick. It is meant for working the outside of tight curves. - The
Triangle Radius (or “Rice Ball”) Scraper features one flat edge, two gently curved edges, and three small concave radii measuring 3mm (0.12”), 6mm (0.24”), and 9mm (0.35”) and is 0.8mm (0.03”) thick. A versatile tool, it can be used to scrape small flat surfaces, large inside curves, and very tight outside curves. It excels at smoothing out rounded edges, and can even chamfer the edges of holes.
Note: metric measurements are precise, imperial measurements are approximate.
