Description
PET (or PETE) plastic stands for “Polyethylene Terephthalate.” It is a thermoplastic polymer that is commonly used to make food containers like those 5-gallon bottles that you see on water dispensers, but mostly, it is spun into fibers to make clothing. You may know it better as “polyester”. Occasionally, PET is used in automotive plastic appliactions. PET plastic is used on some under-hood plastics. This package contains 30 ft. (9.1 m) of PET plastic welding rods. Each rod measures 12 inches (30 cm) long and is 1/8th inch (3 mm) in diameter. There are approximately 161 feet (49 m) in 1 lb. (0.45 kg) of this 1/8th inch diameter PET plastic welding rod.
- Works with airless, hot-air, and nitrogen plastic welders.
- Rod diameter fits perfectly into the standard welding tip of Polyvance’s Mini-Weld Airless Plastic Welder.
