HOW TO USE:
- Connect the EV CAN Harness: Plug the provided EV CAN Harness into the appropriate port on your electric vehicle’s CAN-Bus system. Refer to your vehicle’s service manual for the exact location and connection procedure.
- Connect the EV CAN Jumper Harness: Use the EV CAN Jumper Harness to connect the Speedhut gauge to the EV CAN Harness that you connected in the previous step.
- Connect the Power and Lighting Harness: Attach the 3 ft Power & Lighting Harness to the designated terminals on the Speedhut gauge.
- Connect Power: Connect the power wire (typically red) from the Power & Lighting Harness to a 12V power source in your vehicle that is switched with the ignition.
- Connect Ground: Connect the ground wire (typically black) from the Power & Lighting Harness to a suitable ground point on your vehicle’s chassis.
- Connect Lighting (Optional): If desired, connect the lighting wire (often orange or similar) from the Power & Lighting Harness to your vehicle’s lighting circuit so the gauge illuminates with your other instruments.
- Mount the Gauge: Insert the Speedhut gauge into a 3.33″ (85mm) diameter hole in your dashboard. Secure it using the provided mounting hardware.
- Verify Functionality: Once all connections are made, turn on your vehicle’s ignition. The gauge should power on and display the real-time battery and motor temperatures. Check that the warning lights illuminate when the respective temperatures exceed the specified thresholds.
