HOW TO USE:
- Mount the Gauge: Secure the tachometer in your desired location using the included mounting ring. Ensure the 3.95-inch (100mm) hole size is appropriate.
- Connect the Power and Lighting Harness: Attach the 3 ft Power & Lighting Harness to the designated terminals on the back of the tachometer. Connect the power wire to a 12V power source, the ground wire to a suitable ground, and the lighting wire to your vehicle’s lighting circuit if you desire backlighting.
- Connect the Tachometer Signal Harness: Connect the 8 ft Tachometer Harness (1 Wire 2 Pin Connector) to the designated signal terminal on the back of the tachometer. Connect the other end of the signal wire to a reliable tachometer signal source in your vehicle’s engine bay. This is typically a wire connected to the negative (-) side of the ignition coil or a designated tachometer output from your engine control unit (ECU), depending on your vehicle.
- Verify Connections: Double-check all wiring connections to ensure they are secure and correct according to your vehicle’s wiring diagram and the tachometer’s instructions.
- Start Your Engine: Once all connections are verified, start your engine. The tachometer needle should now indicate the engine’s RPM.
- Observe Readings: Monitor the tachometer to get real-time feedback on your engine’s speed during operation.
