Description
Temple Tools Ultra Fine Dozuki Crosscut – 180mm
Mid-sized Dozuki Japanese pull saw. Ultra-fine Crosscut teeth. Our thinnest and finest crosscut saw. Use for Kumiko, small to medium tenon shoulders, dovetail shoulders, and other fine crosscut needs. For soft and hard woods.
In Japanese “Dozuki” translates to “tenon shoulder” which requires a very precise crosscut blade. This is the thinnest and finest cutting saw in the Temple Tools line-up. Filed with ultra-fine crosscut teeth at 30 TPI and a paper thin 0.008” blade making it incredibly accurate, fast, and smooth cutting. Specifically designed for precision work like Kumiko, it also excels at small tenons, dovetail shoulders, and other fine crosscutting tasks in soft or hard woods.
The high-grade SK85 Japanese tool steel blade is 180mm (7”) long, which we consider a mid-length saw. The blade is supported by a premium solid brass back and secured with brass hardware making the saw sturdy but allows for quick and easy blade replacement. The handle made of Japanese Wingnut (in the walnut family) is stained a rich dark brown color and accented with natural rattan wraps for added beauty, comfort, and grip.
Expertly crafted in Japan, Temple Tool blends legendary Japanese craftsmanship with our signature Western aesthetics to create timeless tools that perform as good as they look.
